Roseville, CA - Kenco Engineering, Inc. reached a major milestone as it celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Founded by the late Ken Lutz in 1957, the company continues its mission of solving wear problems under the direction of Ken''s sons Dave Lutz, President, and Don Lutz, VP, both whom have been with Kenco since its inception. Kenco Engineering, Inc. has recently entered its third generation with the addition of Brian Handshoe to the management team. With headquarters in Roseville, CA, the company began operations in Cupertino, CA offering a wide range of off-the-shelf and custom abrasion resistant wear parts. Its first patented product, the Zig-Zag crusher jaw, helped establish Kenco in the construction materials industry. More patented products followed, including its paver auger shoes and pugmill Uni-Mix Parts for asphalt plants. It was Ken who engineered the purchase in 1975 of a company that designed and manufactured tungsten carbine impregnated cutting edges for front end loaders. The company has worked continuously to improve the process in order to deliver a cost-effective alternative to conventional products. Another of Kenco''s pioneering wear solutions is it''s Wear Patch, which comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and is designed to protect virtually any metal surface from wear. Kenco has a diverse group of specialized wear products to solve wear problems for asphalt pugmills, dryers, and drum mix plants, as well as for a wide range of construction and excavating equipment including loaders, scrapers, dozers, compactors, excavators, crushers, and more. The company also stocks a wide range of ground engaging tools and will custom design parts for unique applications. |
