Yolo County receives funds for road improvements

Yolo County recently was granted $200,000 to help rehabilitate six miles of county roads with rubberized asphalt, which helps to reduce noise and divert tires from landfills.

The $2.6 million project will include improvements to several popular stretches, such as County Road 22 from the Yolo Shortline railroad crossing to about 5,600 feet south of County Road 124.

The grant was provided by state Integrated Waste Management Board''s rubberized asphalt concrete incentive Program.
