Controls, which designs, manufactures and markets testing machines and systems for construction materials, says Bauma offers the chance to present several of its principal products. The company, set up in 1968, will offer equipment for tests on concrete, cement and reinforcing bars; on asphalt, bituminous and road pavement surface, and on soil and rock. For asphalt and bituminous mixtures, the 75-B0008 automatic binder analysis uses the ignition method for determination of a mix''s bitumen content. A sophisticated system, combining combustion with weighing and continuous measurement of weight loss of the mixture, automatically ends the test when binder content is determined. The 77-B3110 asphalt testing system, for the dynamic determination of the elastic module and fatigue behaviour of a bituminous mixture, is formed essentially of a testing frame, pneumatic actuator, pneumatic interface and integrated two-axis control system, as well as various filters and regulators. Various test modules are available, with a wide range of software for several applications, for example fatigue tests on four points, permanent deformation tests, and indirect tensile tests. An integrated system for flexural fatigue tests on bituminous mixture beams, the 77-B3300 beam fatigue apparatus comprises a cradle with pneumatic lateral positioning and clamping and a digital servo-controlled pneumatic actuator built into the base. The beam cradle has been designed to subject an asphalt beam specimen to four-point bending with free rotation and horizontal translation of all load and reaction points. Two sets of pads are provided to accommodate specimens of 50mm and 63.5mm wide. Controls says the Sercomp 7 50-C7022 with three frames connected (3000 kN concrete compression frame and 250/15 kN double chamber mortar compression/flexure frame, which can also be connected to a fourth frame for concrete flexure tests), is a digital control unit for compression and flexure frames on construction materials, with tests conducted automatically. Controls say the unit offers guaranteed high-precision, due to the closed loop retroaction. For tests on cement and mortar, the AUTOMIX 65-L0006/A programmable automatic mixer, and the automatic setting-time measurement system based on the VICAMATIC 63-L0027/E units are also on display. |
