Terex Roadbuilding says its HVW2254C paver is now available for European customers. The machine comes with a more compact frame to keep its transport width within the 3m requirement and minimise costs. Weighing nearly 35tonnes, the paver has a rugged and durable structure and is said to have almost no flex in the frame when working for good paving continuity. The mould pan and frame are not connected rigidly and combined with the firm''s zero flex steering system, this is said to give high quality flatness.

The paving width is varied hydraulically and the machine can be used for jobs of up to 7.5m wide. Power comes from a cat C9 diesel delivering 261kW and maintenance access is said to be good, with an engine cover that swings open hydraulically. Proportional track drives are fitted and the machine runs on FL6 tracks, while other features include heavy duty swing arms.
