Dynapac highlight planer/compaction portfolio

The distinct red and yellow colours of Dynapac drew customers to this major compaction, paving and milling manufacturer.

Among the machines were the family of small asphalt rollers – CC800, CC900 and CC1000 – which have an operating weight of around 1,600kg and drum widths of 800mm, 900mm and 1m respectively.

The newest member, the CC900S (single arm model) has the right side of the front drum free, which allows compaction close to walls.

Furthermore, says Dynapac, the front and rear drum have an offset of 60mm. A spacious operator''s platform is isolated from vibrations to ensure the best possible working station.

There is also a new modern and easily legible instrument panel, with a warning panel and fuel gauge, as standard.

The company''s latest planer is the PL500/16 S, a small machine with a milling width of 500mm and a cutting depth of 160mm.

The machine is aimed at road jobs in confined areas, milling connections or cutting around manhole covers. The planer is equipped with a hydraulically driven cutting drum.

For a longer lifetime and easier maintenance, Dynapac engineers have designed the cutter box as a separate component with rigid side shields and good access to the water spray nozzles.

Dynapac points to the excellent visibility to the cutting edge and the front part of the side shield, as well as to the rear conveyor.

The company''s giant static roller, the CS141, has a companion - the CS142 - which has a safety cab making the total machine height below 3m.

The CC422C is now available in an HF version with a vibration frequency as high as 61Hz for low amplitude.

The company''s range of computer programs has also been enhanced. New for 2006 is the DCA (Dynapac Compaction Analyzer) system with GPS, which means collected compaction results can now be related to an exact GPS position.

The analysis is also further improved with a built-in, on-site calibration function. Dynapac says with minimal training, operators and field engineers are able to use all the features built into the multi-lingual software.

What this high-tech system allows is better analysis, providing instant information to the operator on any weak area that may be detected. With its graphic overview, the operator can then immediately make necessary corrections to achieve a high compaction result.

From the asphalt paving range was the F5CS tracked version, with a maximum working width of 3.10m.

The machine has high traction forces for challenging grounds, while the compaction dimensions make it ideal for cycle or pedestrian paths, road widening projects and car parks, says the company.

A large capacity hopper, 5tonnes, is equipped with a front mounted oscillating thrust-roller cross beam allowing the rollers to fold up level with the hopper, enabling the paver to work in confined areas.
