Caterpillar is replacing two Bitelli pavers with upgraded Cat machines, as well as introducing an improved asphalt compaction range and the new RM-500 rotary mixer. The AP-600 is a wheeled paver that takes over from the Bitelli BB760, while the AP-755 is a tracked machine and replaces the Bitelli BB781. Both of these new machines share features with the AP-800 and AP-1055D introduced last year, such as low emission ACERT engines, hydrostatic drives, movable operator stations giving high visibility and electric screed options. The AP-600 comes with a choice of two hydraulically extending screeds, the AS-3251 and AS-4251, offering paving widths of 2.5-4.7m and 2.5-5m respectively. Customers can select either LPG or electric heating options. The AP-755 is also offered with the AS-3251 and AS-4251 screeds, with the choice of LPG or electric heating. It is also available with the RB5700 screed with LPG heating only. Paving widths vary from 2.5-4.7m and 3-5.7m. The three CB-300E compactors are second generation machines with improved performance, better visibility and new ACERT engines. Features include dual vibration frequencies for both asphalt and soil applications. The RM-500 takes over from the RM-350B and again offers performance gains.
