DESCRIPTION:
RoadChem＆#8482; 236® is a cationic 100% active amidoamine emulsifier used in the manufacture of high performance microsurfacing emulsions and quick set slurry emulsions.
RoadChem＆#8482; 236® systems are rapid curing and setting with the additional advantage of also being quick to traffic.
RoadChem＆#8482; 236® is proven to give excellent mix set and cure characteristics on a very wide range of aggregates including those indigenous to northern Asia, Australia, and Russia.
RoadChem＆#8482; 236® is compatible with most Russian, Asian and Arabian crude based bitumen. Mix designs should always be carried out with any aggregate/bitumen system..

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance: dark viscous liquid
Viscosity 40C: 350cp
Flash point: > 200°C
Specific gravity: 0.95 @ 25°C
Storage: Store in a cool dry place, do not let the temperature exceed 120°F (50°C). Use open drums first.
Storage life: 12 months minimum (If stored correctly).
Packaging: Supplied in steel 205 lt size drums, in 1 tonne totes, or in bulk.

APPLICATION:
RoadChem＆#8482; 236® is suitable for use in slurry and microsurfacing systems where rapid cure is required.
RoadChem＆#8482; 236® is an amidoamine type emulsifier.
RoadChem＆#8482; 236® is compatible with a wide range of polymer modification types, including Neoprene, SBR, EVA and SBS.

Recommended pH range for use: 1.5-2.5

TYPICAL FORMULATION:
All formulations should be tested in the laboratory before use.
Soap solution:
RoadChem＆#8482; 236 1.3-1.4%
Hydrochloric acid: Adjust to required pH (1.5-1.8 for microsurfacing, 2.0-2.5 for slurry seal)
Latex: 2.3-3.0%
Water: Adjust to 100%
Asphalt: 60-65%

RoadChem＆#8482; 236® may be used in combination with other Roadchem chemicals in VSS Tri-Emulsion＆#8482; technology emulsions for tailored mixtures
