With the development of the automobile industry in China, more than 100 millions of scrap tires are discarded every year, which not only occupy a lot of land space , but also pollute the environment. Recently, the new technology of “scrap tire recycling ” developed by Nankai University can change the wastes into ＆#118alue things

  Accordingly , the powder made by 6000 pieces of scrap tires can pave 1 kilometer of high-level two-way road and the cost can be saved 40%. Compared with the old modified asphalt pavement, the new pavements made by scrap tire have strong function of high temperature resistance, noise reduction, extending the life-span of the road as well as decreasing the cost on maintenance. It also has the advantage on antidazzle, water fog resistance as well as the road saftey.

  In addition, the powder can be used as producer’s goods in water-proof materials, rubber products, rubber runway and so on. Without emission of waste water and exhaust gas in the process of production , it is a new-type of environment product and has a prospective future.

 
  Recently , Nankai University has established “Scrap Tire Recycling Exploitation Center” with Tianjing Haitai Environment Science and Technology Development Co,. Ltd. In the near future, the recycled tire will be used in more fields.
