The World Heavy Oil Conference was Held in Beijing

The first World Heavy Oil Conference sponsored by China National Petroleum Corporation and the government of Alberta, Canada was held in Beijing on Nov. 12th. More than 600 representatives from 40 over countries and regions took part in the conference, such as Canada, Venezuela, the USA, Russia,Nigeria, Japan and so on.
“Heavy Oil”is to be known as unconventional oil, including black oil, high-viscosity oil, tar sands, natural asphalt, bituminous shale and so on. the heavy oil begin to attach more attention due to the rapidly increasing of the oil consumption in the world, the raises of the oil price and the environment issue.
The World Heavy Oil Conference will be divided into two part, Economic Forum and Technique Forum. The theme of the conference is “Heavy Oil- the Future of the Global Energy” , the strategy and measures of heavy oil development will be discussed deeply in the conference.
