Richard Moore of Lehman-Roberts Named New World of Asphalt 2007 Chairman

National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) Chairman Jim Roberts has appointed Richard C. Moore of Lehman-Roberts Co. as the new chairman for the 2007 World of Asphalt Show and Conference. Moore is President of Lehman-Roberts, based in Memphis, Tennessee.

World of Asphalt is run by the industry and for the industry and as Chairman, Moore heads a volunteer committee of more than 20 asphalt industry professionals who oversee planning of the event. World of Asphalt 2007 will be held March 19-22, 2007 at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Moore fills the vacancy left by the resignation of  former chairman Wayne Evans, who now works for a manufacturer, not producer. World of Asphalt operating guidelines call for a producer member to chair the show management committee.

Members of the World of Asphalt management committee include equipment manufacturers, contractors, materials producers and service providers to help ensure World of Asphalt meets the needs of both attendees and exhibitors. NAPA is show co-owner along with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA).

Moore Active in the Asphalt Industry

Moore is an active member of the asphalt industry community. He chaired the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) in 2005 and is a trustee of the NAPA Research & Education Foundation. He is a past Director of the Tennessee Road Builder Association, and a Director and past Chairman of the Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association.

World of Asphalt targets asphalt, highway maintenance and traffic safety professionals from companies large to small. The event features exhibits of the latest asphalt-related equipment, products and services as well as extensive educational programming and plenty of opportunities for networking.
